2004 was the year Pakistan's Music Industry experienced the entry of Atif Aslam in the mainstream. His beautiful voice took over every listener and landed straight in the hearts. Not only he made his presence felt but he also made sure that he was there to stay for a long period. During his Bachelors he met Goher Mumtaz with whom he formed the Band Jal and Atif's music career started. Working together the duo recorded the song Aadat with Salman Albert's help and this was the moment they started tasting success and fame.









This song made the band begin their tour of Pakistan. Rising popularity and fame gave rise to differences between the two and they got separated and Atif went on for his solo career while Goher kept himself going under the band name Jal. Atif went on to release his solo album Jalpari which opened many doors of success on him. The album somehow split the nation in two parts and fans of Goher and Fans of Atif kept fighting for some of the songs both claiming those songs to be their respective parties. In the meantime, Mahesh Bhatt called Atif Aslam to get his consent to include Woh Lamhey in his movie Zeher to which Atif agreed. Atif also shook the Bollywood to his powerful vocals and his fan following increased rapidly. Later on, he released two more albums Doorie and Meri Kahani , both of them were highly admired by the listeners globally.

Since then, he has produced countless hit numbers in the likes of Aadat (Movie Version), Bakhuda Tumhi Ho, Tere Bin, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Tu Jane Na, O Mer Khuda, Jeena Jeena etc. The list is huge.With every song Atif sings, we witness a new quality and versatility in his singing. He sings every genre with ease and in his own style that makes him superior over his fellow competitors. The renditions that he has performed are so intoxicating that no one can resist listening. Be it be Mai Nee or Tajdar-e-Haram, Atif has sung it exceptionally well. His version of Tajdar-e-Haram is the all time most played song on the digital music platform Taazi. It is also to be noted that the seasons of Coke Studio in which he appeared, were the most successful ones and it was all because of his powerful vocals and exhilarating performances and above all, his charismatic personality.

His singing is not only limited to slow numbers only, he sings fast songs equally good. That's another thing that his fans mostly love his slow and sad numbers. His song for Tiger Shroff, Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main, Allah Duhai Hai etc are among his popular songs and they are fast. Besides being a good singer, Atif is also a good actor a glimpse of which we all saw in his debut movie Bol. He is not only good in studio performances, not at all.
