Even though they are young and still evolving, there's something so beautifully nostalgic about Bayaan's music that makes you excited about how they are shaping up this era for the current generation of music enthusiasts. Vital Signs, Sajjad Ali, Strings, Awaaz, Junoon, Entity Paradigm, to name a few, all are the pioneers of Pakistani music industry who contributed to the broad spectrum of music back in the day. One thing all of them had in common was the focus on releasing good music, both lyrically and melodically that was well complemented by the music videos.
The only band that seems to be on that level of excellence is Pepsi Battle of the Bands' title holder Bayaan. Time and time again Bayaan has proved that they are the front-runners of the music scene in this era. Compelling lyrics, profound music, and soulful melodies are their forte and seems like the foundation of this band lies on these values.
All five members; Asfar Hussain on vocals, Shahrukh Aslam and Muqeet Shahzad on guitars, Haider Abbas on Bass, and Mansoor Lashari on drums, are true masters of their craft, which is why they have transformed the band's sound into a genre of its own. Even if we compare Bayaan with other bands of this era, the maturity and purity in their sound stands out.
Bayaan may not have released a complete studio album till now but their singles are good enough to make you fell in love with them. The band has the potential to create music of integrity and depth that can serve as a testimony of harmony toward taking Pakistani music back to its glorious days. What they do and achieve in the future depends on how they stay true to their notion but for now, they deserve to be credited for giving us a hint of nostalgia with their pure music.
