Anna Salman Biography

Anna Salman is a singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist of Pakistan’s first and only all-girl band, The All Girl (TAG) Band. Made her mainstream debut with Nescafe Basement, Anna Salman rose to prominence from her very first performance in Love Me Again, which was also lauded by John Newman. She released her first track Middle of Nowhere in January 2019.

Early Life & Debut 

Anna Salman was born on September 18, 1998 in Lahore, Pakistan and she attended Lahore Grammar School. Her love for music began when she was about 10. Growing up, her role model has been Taylor Swift, whose songs she regularly covers.

Salman made her debut in The All Girl Band during Season 4 of Nescafe Basement. The band was brought together by Xulfi. She was on the vocals for their cover of John Newman's song Love Me Again. The band later performed at TedxIslamabad. In 2017, the band collaborated with Khaadi and performed Choo Lia Aasman. The band would return to collaborate with Khaadi and singer Meesha Shafi to release a song on Mother's Day.

With her band, Anna Salman has performed all over Pakistan and opened for some of the biggest names in the music industry including Ali Sethi and Ali Zafar. 

Anna Salman is best known for renditions and covers. However, she has also released an original song "Koi Aur" with Arsalan Hasan. The singer is working on a number of originals that will be out very soon.
